So it looks like we're not the only ones having problems with the Automator, Mixed Nut. The fact that it's happening in iPhoto blows your exciting theory about a new iTunes, too. Suck.

Yeah. Suck. Seeing as how the shipping version of 10.4 is already one month old (gold master was end of March), I'm guessing we'll see 10.4.1 as early as next week if not this weekend. Especially since new apps announced at this year's NAB are requiring 10.4.1 to even run.
Still, tomorrow is the 2 yr anniversary of the iTMS, which makes me want to believe something will be announced because I am a wishful 'tard. However, here's another rumor which makes an update tomorrow even more unlikely.
On the plus side though...free beachballs.

Does this help you do what you wanted to do?
They don't fix the bugs that have kept me out of Automator, but they do open up some interesting possibilities anyway.
That said, I'll likely set up that bookmarkable thing to automatically apply to any music downloaded that's over 10 minutes or so. That should nicely catch any DJ mixes and whatnot that I may not get all the way through on first listen.
